A dentist found guilty of professional misconduct last year says he did not put his penis into the hand of a heavily sedated female patient back in 2001.

Instead, she was suffering from a "sexual hallucination", his lawyer told the High Court in Wellington today at his appeal.

The woman says she could not have mistaken a hose as the "warm lumpy thing" in her hand, reports the Dominion Post.

Although the lawyer says the tribunal accepted the existence of "sexual hallucination", the evidence put forward was of "low scientific value".

i think compulsary cameras in dentist surgeries are required, just like cameras in taxis. that should prevent this sort of claim. also compulsary in doctors surgeries.
