Burlesque, fashion, fetishes and Marilyn Manson - just a few of the words that spring to mind when you mention Dita Von Teese.

Von Teese visited Australia recently to do some stripping and I volunteered to go along and watch the Queen of Burlesque herself.

It was all part of her role as a brand ambassador for Cointreau, which is why the next morning she made me a nice cocktail.

“Anyone can keep clothes on and be classy the trick is can you do these non-classy things and still be classy,” she says.

“I did a classy show last night and people walked away going that’s classy – that’s the trick!”

A trick that's got her a massive fan base and landed her on the front of Playboy more than once.

The thing is, it's not the Playboy crowd that turn up to her shows – its women.

Now if you're wondering by now why I haven't brought up her ex-husband it's because that topic was off limits. But hey, that's old news and who really cares about Marilyn Manson in 2010.

It would be fair to say she's mapped out a more successful career than her shock-rocker ex.

“I don’t ever say ‘oh I’m not a stripper’ because I don’t need to validate myself. I am a stripper - I am!”

Dita - keeping it real - a lovely lady, who makes a mean drink while keeping it all very classy.
