Google: ‘Do a barrel roll’, trust me you won’t be disappointed.

The seemingly inconsequential phrase causes your browser to spin around and literally do a barrel roll.

It is the latest hidden trick on Google that is pointless but oh-so-cool.

The phrase is also a reference to the classic Star Fox 64 Nintendo game.

Only users familiar with the game will understand Google’s hidden explanation to the gag, which can be found by searching “Z or R twice” – the button sequence to do a barrel roll on Star Fox 64.

Past Google tricks or “Easter eggs” from the innovative search engine include Google Gravity – that tilts your browser – and searching “ascii art” which converts the Google logo into ASCII art.

"Must use google chrome" WRONG! I use Firefox and it worked fine for me.
