The Department of Labour is satisfied with Solid Energy's response to safety concerns at its Huntly East Mine.
Forty miners had to be evacuated on November 11 when methane levels spiked at the mine.
Brett Murray from the Labour Department says Solid Energy has taken immediate steps to comply with the improvement notice it was served with.
The company is also undertaking its own investigation.
Mr Murray says the High Hazard Unit will review the outcome of the internal investigation.
