Should the public, or at least Epsom, know what may or may not have been said between Prime Minister John Key and ACT candidate John Banks over tea last week?

The Labour Party, Greens, Mana and NZ First have all called for the tape’s contents to be made public.

Why?

Campbell Live talks to Winston Peters

Then...

The Prime Minister declined an interview with Campbell Live to discuss the teapot tapes.

As did Steven Joyce, the National Party Campaign Manager. John Banks also declined an interview, as did the Herald On Sunday editor.

But John Banks political leader Don Brash, was happy to discuss the tapes.

John Key keeps insisting it was a "private chat" that he had with John Banks. Yeah, right. That's why half the journos in Auckland had been invited by National to report the event. You can't have it both ways, Mr Key. Show us the Tapes!

@Donna, yes ruthless plotters indeed. It definitely shows a darker more twisted and unethical side to Key's nature.. what I dont get is what the hell it has to do with Key anyway?.

Do you think he is paid to just roll along quietly? This was not the Brash we saw taking on Rodney!

He is finished! Wow these two Johns are ruthless plotters! One thing Brash could do, was to show some intelligence and appear sharp and knowledgeable, instead he behaved like a passive shell of a simpleminded man!

Brash must be the biggest fool out there... from the hints I get that the media are throwing out... John Key and John Banks have already rolled him.. they are just waiting until after the election to do it and hoping like hell that Brash doesnt cotton on. Good for a bit of a chuckle at least... bet Brash is having a hard time dealing with the fact that the head of another political party is deciding on the leadership of his party lol

Here's an idea - every time you ask John Key to appear on Campbell Live and he declines, have Winston Peters on instead. Bet you it won't take long for Key to change his mind as he won't want Winston to have the publicity. Then you can ask Key the hard questions! It is a win-win situation.
