Love, love this video! Maybe we can train all dogs to drive (well)& have them take the wheel LOL maybe then we can eliminate the problem of stupid drunk human drivers. Monty & Porter appear to have more sense, intelligence, focus & obedience to rules than many human drivers, particularly those who make the choice to drive under the influence. Great job! Monty and Porter & their patient trainers. WE shld all appreciate dogs (any kind) for all the contribution they make e.g security, search & rescue, companionship etc...They are truly the best!

Awesome, Well done Dogs. Next step would be PIGS, They are meant to be more intelligent than dogs, Teach them to be pilots or sky dive. Then we can really say pigs do fly in New Zealand. LOL

You have so got to love watching these dogs driving! As a 'cat person' Monty is the coolest dog ever and he can take me for a drive anytime. The SPCA are onto a winner here - thanks for the laughs and making us feel so damn good! Cheers

Amazing and does a great service for rescue dogs everywhere. However, what happens now to the three of them? Do they go back to the shelter, locked up, no longer having contact with these trainers who clearly bonded with them? This actually seems cruel and confusing to the poor dogs, even though it does help bring attention to the problem. How about a followup so we can all breathe a sigh of happiness!

Congratulations to all involved in this project (human and canine). My NZ penpal has been sending me this story to England. If it makes just one more person somewhere in the world visit their local dogs; home and adopt a homeless dog then it will have been worthwhile
