Dunedin police are on the hunt for a Mongrel Mob member after shots were fired during a gang brawl with Black Power.

The Armed Offenders Squad was called to a Pine Hill address last night after a gang member had been shot in the arm with a 22.

Police have since issued an arrest warrant for 19-year-old Dylan Jordan Hill, warning he is dangerous and should not be approached.

Ten people from both the Black Power and Mongrel Mob were arrested, eight of whom will appear in court tomorrow.

When are the lawmakers in this country going to shut down these gangs? It's plainly obvious they only have bad intentions, yet they are allowed to continue to function in this way.
