It's day four of the Eco-Challenge, where a diesel-fuelled Mini attempts the journey from Cape Reinga to Bluff on just two tanks of gas, and it's almost over.
This morning the car left Christchurch for Dunedin.
It wasn't all plain sailing however – the police pulled the team over for filming while driving.
Fortunately the local police officer accepted the team's excuses, and an unintended sequel to the film Goodbye Pork Pie was avoided.
The incident was the pair's first run in with the law since leaving Cape Reinga four days ago.
The team are averaging 3.1 litres per 100km, and are confident they'll set a new record.
