What looks like a riot is in fact part of a religious festival in El Salvador.
Each year at the same time in the town of Nai Yappa, people take turns hurling fireballs at one another, in honour of a huge volcanic eruption in 1922 that destroyed the old town.
Locals throw petrol-soaked rags at one another, because they believe the volcanic lava was actually a local saint fighting the devil with balls of fire.
