The Samoan rugby player who last week apologised for likening the IRB's treatment of the team to the holocaust continues to make his opinions heard on Twitter.

Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu has labelled referee Nigel Owens as a "racist" and made other not-so-complimentary comments.

“That’s why we need a neutral ref,” says Sapolu. “All I’m hearing is how bullshit the ref was! Haha.”

“He was f**king shit! I can understand the hate!! Haha good luck u racist biased prick.”

Sapolu is not alone in his views, with fellow Tweeters saying “I think someone should have a word with the IRB. Their treatment of ‘tier 2’ rugby nations is disgusting”, as well as saying Owens “needs a good fasi”, as in he needs some sense knocked into him.

Sapolu says “if the All Blacks got the turnarounds we got, there would be four million Twitter rants! RWC = who cares!!”

For those who do not agree with Sapolu, he has told them where to go in less than 140 characters.

“Hellooooooooo haters!!! Get f**ked!!!!! Unfollow you idiots!!! F**k off!!!

The 30-year-old has also tweeted that the IRB can kiss his behind.

Watching the all blacks versus argentina game yesterday, I now understand the frustration. Didnt one of the all black players give nigel owen some advice on his referring? You have to question his referring. I will say he is not racist but I clearly can see that he is not fit to ref. With all his referring experience you will expect his level to be above average. But I bet he still needs training. There is all this controversy with the manu samoan player but there is not much on whether the IRB has done something on how nigel owen has been referring.
Another thing is money. Didnt that guy mention on campbel live that broadcator pay big bucks for thier favourite players to play at a certain dates and so on? In these matters, I believe that IRB should have schedule it on how it should fit and not involve outside opinions or interferences to affect this process. Remember the samoan versus south africa game sold out. yet now with the games happening now there are still plenty of seats available.
I hope that somehow IRB see that having satisfied customers is more beneficial than pleasing mere broadcastors.
As for the manu samoan player:i believe he has the right to his opinions. First of all nigel owen is not famous, therefore he is not defaming his name. The only thing I would suggest that he needs to watch is his language, remember he is somebody people of all ages look up to.

Welcome to Hollywood of Rugby. You have the main actors and supporting actors well the game was that the main actors are the Giants of Rugby and the supporting actors are the minows of rugby. The IRB already know who is going to win the world cup. This will be a contravesal (ref) if NZ do't win it?.

I am an Ikale Tahi supporter, but I support what Eliota Fuimaono Sapolu is trying to explain. Samoa and Tonga are both Tier 2 teams. I was questioning why Tonga was matched up with the All Blacks in the very first game. It seems that way before the world cup has even started, a winner has been picked already.Tier 2 teams come to the games with their all - mind, might, strength, and spirit only to be put away in their very first game. They have an undying love for rugby that they keep coming every four years. Bless their hearts, the teams from Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa - teams from small islands in the Pacific against those mighty teams from Europe, South Africa,Australia, and New Zealand. I wonder how the pools are put together. Eliota I love the way you stand up for yourself and your team.

Eliota well done for standing up for yourself and not backing down. You prove that you have passion, belief and a big heart for the country you represent. To all the people who have taken his comments at face value. Clearly you do not understand the true meaning behind his comments. Most Tier 2 teams come into the world cup with the dream of being world champions but with the reality of best making the quater finals if that. These teams give it there all even when they are getting smashed by the Tier 1 teams. What these teams show is the true spirit of rugby. Never say die, Kia Kaha, Faamalosi. The Tier 1 teams have spirit but that is backed by financial incentives to win the world cup (so I hear). I believe that Eliota did not just write those comments out of anger because they lost to SA, but more to do with the Manu Samoa Rugby spirit being hacked away. IRB - We Tier 2 teams are sick of just making up numbers for you. If you want a real world cup then level the playing field for all teams. Introduce more test for all rugby nations to allow for smaller nation teams to build their international status. If you all think that the Tier 1 teams are the best in the world then put your money where your mouth is and do the following. All Tier 1 teams must play at least 2 tests a year per 3 different Tier 1 countries. At the next world cup. Draw the names out of a hat and have it shown on live tv. IRB If youré worried that smaller countries cant meet the demands of ticket sales then think about this. Over 60,000 people packed Eden Park for the Fiji vs Samoan game. That meant 250,000 plus Fijian and Samoan die hard Rugby supporters couldn't get in. Last but not least the media is down playing the fact that Heinrich Brussow (SA) elbowed Paul Williams to the back of the head before slapping at Paul's arm. And the so could punch to the face, please it was nothing more than a fend to the face. Whats the difference. You don't get red carded when an attcking player fends the defending player off in the face, just ask Schalk Burger (SA). Eliota keep doing what youré doing and SMASH EM BRO!!

As a south african I was raised in NZ, and I support 100% what Sapolu is saying,,,I think any person in this world has the right as a human being to speak his or her mind. If any other countries were refed in the same manner then no doubt in my mind would players of any country would think and say the same as Supolu. If teaching the next generation from right and wrong is to happen, we must se justice in this issue...especially with the youth of all representative nation of this world cup,

The truth is this - all island nations and other poor countries who play rugby will "never make it to semifnals" and the IRB will make sure of that. This so called rugby world cup is nothing but a business to benefit a group of people. If the IRB gave Samoa enough time to rest between games like they did with other rich countries, there would be the biggest upset. So imagine two small teams make it to the final, what would the outcome be for the IRB? Would they make as much money? It would be an interesting question to investigate!!! Eliota hit it on the head tonight and finally its nice to hear that someone is proud and confident enough to say what is unfortunately plain to see! The referee of the RSA VS SAMOA game was embarassing to watch when he disrespected the CAPTAIN of the manu team by the way he spoke to him, when he had every right to question and ask re the decisions! It was not on. Im starting to think that this is like cricket - match fixing GALORE!! Good on you E Sapolu - in my opinion there is no such thing as a small voice, its just not been heard yet! NOTHING was wrong with the referee.. Everything he did was fair. 'Sore losers'..I say! If it was another pacific island nation playing...you wouldn't make a fuss, would you?? Just easy for you all to blame the ref! Get over it!!!
