Mike McNully won $1.4m for predicting scores in the football World Cup

An Englishman did win at the World Cup after all, netting $1.4 million in a score-predicting competition – and he won the money from a Kiwi.

Mike McNally collected the windfall after calling the highest number of games correctly in an online competition – and all for a $20 bet.
