Who: Dane Rumble

The Scoop: Now on his own after the adventures of the Fast Crew Dane Rumble has really started to find his groove. The best bit is that it is a mash up of rock, urban & synth in a really powerful package - looking back & forward at the same time. It's a good trick.

Dane is on his second solo single while still at work on his debut album. The first single 'Always Be Here' was an absolute belter which peaked at #2 in the NZ radio airplay charts & #7 in the NZ sales chart. Check out the video and enjoy the killer hook. The current single is 'Don't Know What To Do' which has a great riff and surprisingly good lyrics. Just this week is has knocked Midnight Youth of the #1 spot of the NZ radio airplay charts. Congratulations to Dane & his coif (there has to be a hair product sponsorship in his future) for that milestone.

You get the feeling that Dane really wants success. Along with great songs is a live performance which has you along for the ride with Rumble as the star of the show.

With Rumble holed up in York Street studios working on more tracks this guy has the potential to be at the start of something truly interesting. If the next tracks are in the same league as the first two then it may be that Rumble's playground will be more than just these shaky isles.
