The Scoop: The Earlybrds serve up a good dose of power pop and are about to become a familiar sound on NZ radio stations the length of the country over the next few months. The music will make a good soundtrack for having a good time to. The first single was 'Runaway' and the second, which is just coming out now, called 'I Killed The DJ'. They both have big hooks & sing-along choruses. It's not complicated but then having a good time generally isn't.

Following EMI NZ's shake up early this year The Earlybirds have become the first new signing. You can see why - fingers will be crossed that these young guys deliver the goods. They are certainly off to a good start.
Although not confirmed I know they are touring this new year holiday period & are the first local band to stake a claim on having the song of summer. They will have done well if they can still claim that title in March.
