This year's controversial Boobs on Bikes parade in Auckland has had mixed reviews after taking over the central business district.

Thousands spilled onto the streets to see some 30 porn stars bare their chests as they rode on top of tanks, motorbikes and convertible cars.

One can't complain because we voted the government in (well I didn't) that made this legal.

What law? you may ask.

Well not the law that made prostitution illegal because there never was one.
These "porn" stars are presumably hookers. Anyway I think the cards some of them were handing out weren't invitations for a nice cup of coffee.

Well before our esteemed labour government made prostitution "legal" (which as I stated above it never was) this parade would have been illegal because it was previously illegal to "Solicit" to sell your sexual favours.
Further more it was illegal to run a "brothel" (maybe those cards were only an invitation to a coffee shop) and most of all it used to be illegal to "Procure women for the purposes of prostitution" in plain english that means you couldn't act as a "Pimp".
So the people who were assembling these "Porn" stars aka prostitutes were plainly "pimps"

Ok on the parade we saw prostitutes soliciting, we saw brothels advertising, and we saw pimps driving Bentleys and Mercedes.
All this made legal by our previous government which we the voter voted in three times.
Just another bit of social engineering so these people now enjoy a legal and honourable profession!

So at least don't complain - we voted for that government right?

Oh by the way any tax inspectors around? I hope they are all registered for GST :)

I really think people are blowing boobs on bikes out of proportion, it's a fun tradition! Why cover up what you've been blessed with? If your comfortable enough in your own skin to flaunt it in public I say bloody good on yah.

Stephen, do you really know what you're talking about!!! Really, this capitalism, enables people like you to watch boobs on wheels, and shop were you like, eat the foods that you want, not just the government issued crap. And the big thing criticize the government without fear of being killed. Its been proven time and time again, that capitalism/socialism don't WORK. Frankly I didn't care about the boobs, I wanted to check out the bikes and cars.,

I can see how suddenly changes our lifestyle in our community, this should be banned! There is no need to show yourself out there with no common sense! These days they said' Its all about having fun' yes of course we having fun, but i dont agreed with this sort of 'out of control fun'. Our children can see this show from the streets, tv, newspapers etc. Common people stop trying making money in the public, time to locked your private parts away, and work your ass off lol in your home or something! Is this how we showing/teaching our children? Anyway those boobs are not natural they more like plastic bags, BOO!!

What are you on about Michael Henry?

Somewhere like Japan for instance probably has the most depraved pornography you could find (eg hentai, look it up if you don't know what I'm on about) but it's sexual crime rate is one of the lowest in the world. As for the communism socialism thing, I don't see what you're getting at. And you forgot to mention Vietnam in the 'failures' list. Was that because it got screwed over by western capitalism even when it was doing just fine without being attacked? It can work, as long as people leave it alone. Vietnam had one of the greatest production rates in the world before the Vietnam war, and then the US put in a puppet capitalist leader who screwed it over making monks burn themselves alive.

Is it communism that doesn't work? Imagine if the whole world was communist. There'd be no armies for one thing, and just having that would put incredible amounts of money into poverty stricken peoples. It's amazing how many people the US army could feed if they took a break for one year from buying and building.

Basically Michael, get informed before you say anything.

Any saddos who get involved in the pornography industry (male/female) help society rot, they contribute to abuse of innocent victims. Shame on you all- not that any of you probably know what shame is or you wouldn't do what you do. As most of you appear to only have the face and the bodies for radio I'm amazed there's anyone out there sad enough to watch porn. Change the name to ugly freaks on bikes!

exploit sad people. Good on you Tracey for sharing your experience - just the tip of the iceberg I'm sure for a society that is too selfish/apathetic/scared of being The more free publicity that media such as TV3 gives SCrow, the more money in his pockets to labelled prudish to support victims of sexual abuse. Pornography IS abuse of womens right not to be viewed as meat and young mens right to grow up in an environment where the female form is appreciated in the context of loving, mutually supportive, long term relationships and not as a commodity to be exploited for the profit of the selfish and irresponsible. Ditto 4 stripping + prostitut The more that pornograpy is advertised and sold, the more womens bodies and therefore women themselves become viewed as a commodity to be bought or sold, used or abused at will. Come on - we're worth more than that - all of us! Incidentally, severe drug abuse is rife in the porn industry. What does that say about how happy these women really are.

Its very easy for the weak minded to blame pornography and other ills for their own problems. Perhaps we should ban any form of religion as this also takes advantage of the weak minded. Also, Michael Henry quite often people who make broad claims and accusations are often guity themselves.
