Kiwi No. 1 Marina Erakovic has come back to win an epic three-set battle.
Erakovic won her singles match in the first round of the Texas Tennis Open in Dallas 6-1, 5-7, 7-6 over Anne Keothavong.
Erakovic was more than convincing in the first set, blowing the British player off the court.
But Keothavong bounced back to take the second set, then broke serve in the third and looked set to take the match.
But the Kiwi broke back and then took the tie-breaker (11-9).
In the doubles, Erakovic and Britain's Heather Watson beat the American combination of Elizabeth Lumpking and Yasmin Schnack 6-2, 2-6, 10-8.
In the quarter-finals they will play Americans Jennifer Elie and Asia Muhammed.
