Eva Green doesn’t understand people’s obsession with French women.
The French model-turned actress – who is regularly voted one of the world’s sexiest women – thinks it’s a “cliche” to think of Gallic women as beautiful and is bemused as to why the stereotype had occurred.
Eva, 29, said: “It’s difficult to understand why. They build them up in their heads so much, that I think some men think all French women are sexy.
“I’m French so I can’t really understand why this is. But I think the cliché for a French girl is well dressed, elegant and sophisticated. But I don’t know why that has come about.”
The Casino Royale beauty also revealed she was “very nerdy” as a teenager and even went through a Goth phase.
She said: “Every day was like a fashion show. One day I was a Goth - I had my hair back-combed, the make-up and a dark purple dress, and big black boots. I went through a mad stage.”
