A woman was executed for adultery in Afghanistan (file: Reuters)

Human rights groups have condemned the public execution of a 22-year-old woman accused of adultery in Afghanistan. 

According to reports she was shot by her own husband, in front of a crowd, just north of the capital Kabul.

A horrific video of the shooting has also emerged.

Watching this video alarms me! Not just for the obvious, but mostly because it makes me feel like I'm a clone of Garth McVicar of the Sensible Sentencing Trust. Yes, I felt a very strong need for revenge! That makes me no better than Garth and no better than the miscreants who are cheering the execution of that poor woman.
