A drug called bexarotene may also be able to help sufferers of Alzheimer's (file pic)

For disease as common as Alzheimer’s, new drugs are constantly being formulated, though most need years of testing on animals before they even reach humans.

But now an already existing drug, bexarotene, which is used for skin cancer patients, is showing signs that it could reverse Alzheimer’s symptoms.
