Seven people are in hospital after a man pushed an explosive device through the doorway of a Woolworths supermarket in central Darwin.
The man allegedly loaded a shopping trolley with firecrackers and small petrol cans and pushed the trolley through the building’s doors.
It is reported up to a dozen people, including a police officer, have been injured.
Police say a man surrendered himself shortly after the incident.
Bomb and fire experts are at the scene, checking for further explosives. Police have described the explosion as “significant”.
