Bolivian police are investigating exploding envelopes that wounded seven people, three of them severely, in the capital.

Bolivian police commander Victor Hugo Escobar says the first explosion, at a construction company in La Paz, seriously injured firefighters called in to deactivate the device. A second explosion at a bus terminal severely wounded the wife of a union leader with close ties to President Evo Morales.

Arminda Colque, the wife of union leader Fidel Surco, lost three fingers and was seriously burned. Two firefighters are in intensive care.

The motive in the attacks is unclear.

Funny how the US interests are at stake here, wonder who was behind this one...and who was behind the assassination attempt in April? Three guesses, C-I-A. They are using front men to do their work now.
