Adapted from the critically acclaimed Alice Seabold novel, The Lovely Bones is the latest work of master Kiwi filmmaker Peter Jackson.

Jackson started his career with low budget splatter film Bad Taste. He went on to make acclaimed zombie comedy Braindead, Michael J. Fox frightener The Frighteners, before the legendary Lord of the Rings trilogy and King Kong remake.

The Lovely Bones opens in New Zealand cinemas on Thursday, but the star-studded premiere takes place in Wellington tonight.

The Film3 team are there, talking to the cast and crew of the film, and were fortunate to have a long catch-up with the Welliwood king himself.
