Extreme Kiwi kayaker Ben Brown calls Iceland a "dream destination"

Extreme Kiwi kayaker Ben Brown is no stranger to travelling the globe, although his most recent Iceland expedition proved more challenging than he expected.

Brown was joined by three mates for the month long adventure; he says Iceland was a "dream destination".

"It seems like its custom built for paddling, it’s covered 11 percent by glaciers, so lots of water held up there in the ice," he says.

When the glaciers melt, it creates massive water-runs, says Brown.

He says the main purpose of the trip was to find previously undiscovered water falls.

"Its pretty much a kayaker's playground," he says.
