Facebook has agreed to take action after an ITV News investigation revealed the growing trend of people leaving abusive messages on memorial sites.

The company said it would warn the administrators of such sites about so-called "Trolls" who insult and bully people.

It is a small victory for the parents of one boy who took his own life after messages were left online.

Such clever ideas, take down facebook page others take its place same answer to closing accounts. The internet is not anonimos all can be traced if you have access to IP addresses etc. Bullying is only effective when the recipient believes they have no recourse.

Unfortunately the anonimity of the internet has caused a new breed of cowards - those who know they will never be identified or tracked, and who would never have the guts to say such things to their target's face.
The problem with freedom of speech is that the beneficiaries often abuse the freedoms of their targets - but for some reason so-called freedoms advocates conveniently forget that.

Maybe we need to revisit the obvious. Anyone on FB or any other social internet tiool runs all sorts of risks. If bullying occurs, the smartest thing to do is take down the FB page, close the account. Idiots will use whatever medium is available to get at others. Not just an internet problem.
