I am 17. Alot of my friends frequently go out to town, some even four times a week. I myself have never been and for a while I felt really left out, probably a reason many teens feel pressured into getting a fake. Alot of my friends go out with real ids . . it just isn't their's. I myself have been pressured to use another friend of mine's id, they assume blonde hair blue eyes, it would work.
When I hear of all the stupid things my friends do and how vulnerable they make thenselves especially when it comes to unwanted sexual conduct, I feel thankful that I have a valid reason not to go out with them.
Another point is that young women do not need money to go out. they simply use their charm . . .along with very short skirts and low tops to get other guys to buy them drinks. This makes the situation even the more dangerous for them.
I think people my age are definately at a limbo in their social lives, they want to feel mature ect and go out as they feel they have grown out of previous activities. But all the things we learnt about date rape and everything in year 10 obviously never sunk in.
I think it is great that the police are cracking down on fake ids.
