Yes Blue EXACTLY RIGHT! "not meant to be cool or their friends" - that's right! You must make sure that you are not friendly when parenting. Parents need to show these kids that if someone slags you off you need to blow up there belongings! Perfect lesson in parenting. When the kid grows up they know that under rule, you cannot speak out. They need to understand their place as a prole under any psychopathic dictator with distorted morals. Its NOT ok for a child to say they dislike them for it and post such propaganda on facebook. Deep down I'm sure she regrets having that opinion - or even having those thoughts about her crime - her parents just need to show her how morally wrong she was being.

@Chris...grow up, your clearly a child having (as Tommy Jordan's child did) an unintelligent non-sensical tanty... It is a parents responsibility to care and correctly raise their children, we aren't meant to be cool or their friends we are supposed to teach them right from wrong and in my opinion publicly belittling, disrespecting and humiliating their parents in front of the world is not acceptable!!! Perhaps she and you will realise if you don't like it, then don't do it to others.... well maybe you will learn that in 10yrs when you grow up...

Tommy Jordan gets my praise! Not for what he did, but for his morals, intelligence, and how he is redirecting this "notariety" towards a good cause (by linking to a Muscular Dystrophy donations page - that he does not control).
He refuses to speak to media, go on talk shows, or even accept the offer for his own tv show - because he doesn't want to send the signal to his family that it's ok to profit from someone's (parental) embarassment. Reading his facebook page responses to the media and all the attention leads me to believe he is Very grounded in reality - and whereas he may be a bit dramatic he's an all around decent person.

how DARE this child have an opinion of her own to which she posts on facebook. next time perhaps the father will destroy ALL of her belongings to teach her to despise him and her subsequent crappy childhood even further! good on him for snooping on her facebook and breaking her privacy. what a great dad! i mean look how much time he spent making that video just to humiliate her. hes just so wonderful in every way! every parent out there should look to him for guidance.
