Friends and family of missing Christchurch teen Hayden Miles will hold a memorial service for him this week.
The 15-year-old disappeared on August 22 and a 27-year-old man has been charged with his murder.
Police last week recovered human remains from two cemeteries in Linwood but had yet to reveal if they were linked to the case of the missing teen.
However, Hayden's family published a death notice in The Press today, with a celebration of his life planned for Friday.
It reads: 'MILES, Hayden Peter - Tragically taken from his family on August 22, 2011. Treasured and dearly loved son of Jacqui and Peter, and brother of Aleshia and Madison. Much loved grandson, great-grandson, nephew and cousin.
"Darling Hayden, you will be in our hearts and we will carry you with us always. We miss you each and every day."
His family has asked that only close friends and family attend the memorial service, which takes place at Westpark Chapel in Burnside from 2pm Friday.
Hayden disappeared from a friend's house on Cashel Street.
