The All Whites have continued to re-write New Zealand sporting history bowing out unbeaten from the Football World Cup.
You can't wipe the smiles off of the faces of many All Whites fans.
Football fans from all over the world packed out bars all through out the country to show their support.
“I’m not from New Zealand but I live here now and I’m pretty attached to the All Whites so yeah it has been emotional,” says an All Whites fan.
Emotional too for a group of girls who were among a very small group of fans who were supporting Paraguay this morning.
They're in New Zealand on an AFS exchange and were relieved the All Whites couldn't add Paraguay to their impressive list of upsets.
“We're happy but not as happy, but it's okay, we could do it better,” say a Paraguay fan.
Over in South Africa New Zealand fans who had spent hours partying in the stands after the All Whites previous games weren't allowed to this time around and were escorted out of the stadium by local police.
All Whites fan Dean Anderson was at the game and says.
“They turned up and they had those clear riot shields and batons. They didn't beat anyone they were really really peaceful, they were blatantly trying to clear the stadium, you can completely understand it,” says All Whites fan Dean Anderson.
All Whites captain Ryan Nelsen had a present for the fans in the stadium...
“Ryan Nelsen came out at the end of the game and he threw his shorts into the crowd, my little brother ended up grabbing them,” says Anderson.
With the All Whites exceeding all expectations at this World Cup the will no doubt be looking to go one better next time around.
