West Tigers captain Robbie Farah has contacted police after being abused on social networking site Twitter.
It comes a week after expat kiwi TV presenter Charlotte Dawson was hospitalised after harsh comments were directed at her online.
Farah says the issue of online bullying needs to be addressed before someone injures themselves.
