Roger Federer says he is "dreaming" of a record-tying seventh Wimbledon championship and has to do better than his quarterfinal exits the past two years.

The owner of a record 16 Grand Slam titles - including six at the All England Club - said Saturday he hopes he can be the person to put an end to the run of four consecutive major finals played between No. 1 Novak Djokovic and No. 2 Rafael Nadal.

The 30-year-old Federer is currently ranked No. 3 but can move back into the top spot he held for a total of 285 weeks by winning Wimbledon. He's more interested in adding the title than reclaiming the ranking because, he says, "Trophies is what really gets you going."

The grass-court tournament begins Monday.
