Fijian police are continuing to investigate the alleged sex assault of a 15-year-old girl by a former All Black in Fiji last week.

Robin Brooke is accused of grabbing one of the girl's buttocks, then grabbing her 17-year-old friend by the throat when he tried to intervene at a resort at the Hilton Denarau on New Year's Eve.

Sergeant Suliano Tevita said today that investigations were still continuing into the case.

He could not say when a decision would be made on whether or not charges would laid.

Brooke, who owns Gate Pa New World Supermarket in Tauranga, was capped 69 times before his retirement in 2001.

He was interviewed by Fijian police after the alleged assault, then released and has now returned to New Zealand.

The girl, also a New Zealander, had also returned home, Mr Tevita said.

Brooke and his agent Sara Tetro have refused to speak to media.
