Finding the best pie in the land
Tue, 24 Jul 2012 7:00p.m.
A few minutes ago one of the biggest nights on the social calendar kicked off in Auckland. Yes, it's that time of the year again - tonight we find out who makes the best pie in the country.
Over the years we at Campbell Live have done quite a few stories about pies. First there was the story about a champion pie maker, then we did one where our reporter actually baked his own and entered the competition, then we did a story about a new fast-food pie.
But there's one angle we haven't yet done: How do the judges determine which pie really is the country's best?
So here's Lachlan Forsyth and Tristram Clayton together again, for the last story we'll ever do about pies - until the next one.
