Five people have been treated and two taken to hospital after a fire in a south east Auckland home.
Ambulances took the injured, which included young children, to Middlemore Hospital with relatively minor injuries after a blaze gutted part of a house in Mt Wellington earlier this evening.
Most of the injured were suffering from smoke inhalation.
Fire Safety officers are trying to find out what caused the fire.
A fireman told 3 News he did not think there were smoke alarms in the house.
