Flood warnings remain in place for a vast area of Queensland.

In the wake of former Cyclone Olga the area spanning from the central coast to the far south west is under threat.

There was widespread flooding around the coastal town of Yeppoon yesterday with up to 20 centimetres of rainfall.

However, the deluge has brought smiles to the faces of many farmers who were desperate for relief after a dry January.
