Fonterra has 100pc quality control in NZ - why not in China?

One child has died and hundreds of others are sick in China after drinking a baby formula made by the Sanlu company - a company owned in part by New Zealand dairy giant Fonterra.

Fonterra admits it knew in August that Sanlu was selling contaminated baby milk and had urged Chinese executives to mount a public recall.

Fonterra is not talking publicly so far but Sunrise looks at the issues involved with Doctor Rodger Spiller from the New Zealand Centre for Business Ethics.

Surely even a Chinese person knows that bulking out milk feed with melamine can't be a good thing.
