John Key for sale on Trade Me

John Key for sale on Trade Me

By 3 News online staff

For sale – one Prime Minister, worth $50 million.

TradeMe user yeahdunno says they are “regretfully” selling John Key “due to the global and national economic situation”.

“John Key is worth around $50,000,000.00 and is therefore on the market before we consider any further asset sales,” according to the auction, which began with a $1 reserve and within minutes has over 2000 views – and a bid of $500, a bargain.

Listed under the ‘Security, locks and alarms’ category – with a picture of a key, in case no one got the joke – the auction states Me Key’s real value will be decided by the market.

A question on the auction asked why Mr Key wasn’t being listed on eBay to encourage overseas investment.

“Actually yes,” agreed yeahdunno. “We're not the sharpest tools in the shed.”

One TradeMe user declined to bid, saying they “currently need a spare door knob”.

The sad thing is he doesnt give a hoot about the peoples choices unless its personal to him. Perhaps the key might unlock the brick wall around his heart.
