Two adults and two youths have been arrested after a knife attack on two teenage girls on a hill on the western outskirts of Auckland.

Police say the girls, aged 14 and 15, required hospital treatment after the attack at Pukematekeo Summit, Swanson – about 20km west of downtown Auckland, at 5.45pm on Friday.

Three females and a male were arrested and charged with wounding with intent to injure. They are appearing in Waitakere District Court today.
