BlackCaps allrounder James Franklin looks set continue opening the innings as he did against South Africa in a Twenty20 World Cup warm up.
New Zealand opens their campaign against Bangladesh with the opposition likely to field a spin heavy bowling attack.
BlackCaps coach Mike Hesson says Franklin would be a good option at the top to counter the left arm spinners.
"For the last month or so Franky's been practicing that, because we're probably going to be confronted by 12 overs of left-arm spin against Bangladesh so, obviously, to reel out a number of right-handers against that wouldn't be clever,'' Hesson told Fairfax NZ.
Hesson will select his playing XI later in the week, with sick players Tim Southee and Rob Nicol in doubt.
