Freida Pinto and Dev Patel (Reuters)
Fri, 23 Oct 2009 12:11p.m.
Freida Pinto says boyfriend Dev Petal has influenced her style.
The stunning actress has become a huge fan of British fashion house Burberry and admits her
Slumdog Millionaire
co-star has played a part in that.
She said: "I'm wearing a Burberry dress with a Burberry clutch but the shoes are Rupert Sanderson. It's Dev's favourite brand and he's made me into a devotee, too. I love them, love their colours. It's really classy but at the same time it has a no fuss thing about it."
Although Dev is having a say in the clothes Freida wears, the 25-year-old beauty admits she has no influence in the outfits the 19-year-old actor dons.
She told Britain's
OK!
magazine: "He doesn't let me choose his clothes because if I do he'll just go and choose something completely opposite. I can't pick his clothes for him either!"
Since shooting to worldwide fame earlier this year, Freida admits her style has evolved as she gets to go to more high-profile events.
She added: "For a red carpet event, your outfit needs to have the wow factor. You just have to pick the one that really goes with the event."
