The Commerce Commission is taking legal action against several freight companies accused of anti-competitive behaviour.
The commission began investigating in 2007 after allegations of collusion between several multinationals on surcharges and fees on air freight prices, both to and from New Zealand.
Freight forwarding in and out of New Zealand is worth $450 million a year.
Two of the companies involved have already approached the commission and agreed to settlement negotiations.
