Warriors recruit Nathan Friend will make his debut for the side in Saturday’s trial match against the Titans at North Harbour Stadium.

Coach Brian McClennan has named a 25-man squad for the match, which includes 11 players who played in last year’s grand final against Manly.

Missing from the side for this weekend’s clash are Kevin Locke, Manu Vatuvei, Micheal Luck, Jerome Ropati, and Russell Parker.

Both Luck and Ropati are still recovering from injuries, while Locke and Parker are expected to be fit for duty in the next few weeks.

Manu Vatuvei is with the NRL All Stars this weekend for their annual clash with the Indigenous All Stars on the Gold Coast.

The squad also includes six members of the winning Junior Warriors side, with Ben Henry, Konrad Hurrell, Carlos Tuimavave, Sam Lousi, Silo Siua Taukeiaho and Sebastine Ikahihifo all named.

McClennan says all 25 players will get a run against the Titans, but he has yet to settle on a starting lineup.

The Warriors will play two more trial matches against the Rabbitohs on February 11, and Queensland Cup side Sunshine Coast in Whangarei on February 18.
