Filmmaker Zack Snyder was entrusted with the project after his faithful adaptation of Frank Miller's 300.
In the film, Malin Akerman plays Laurie Jupiter / Silk Spectre II, Patrick Wilson plays Dan Dreiberg / Nite Owl II and Carla Gugino plays Sally Jupiter / Silk Spectre.
