"Gamer" is the name WE have CHOSEN for ourselves. I am a gamer. I play everyday when i can and have time. Gaming itself is a culture which is what people like you(non gamers) dont understand. The thing that gets me is now there is a perception that gaming is anti social and only for uber nerds and kids. Gaming is an escape just like reading, watching tv or going to the pub after work.

Thankyou for the lovely comment Mark, it's been an issue that's long bothered me aswell. There still this odd segregation between people that do play Games and ones that don't. I may read more hours on a weekly basis than I do sitting in front of the television with a controller in my hand, though apparently that doesn't matter to society. Unfortunately it's largely to do with the Media, which will still often use the term 'Gamer' in a negative way to create this potential threat within society and create Greater news stories. So it's great seeing Three News giving such a positive view
