Gaybe Boomers: The new Kiwi family?

3News NZ

The nature of the New Zealand family is changing fast. It is now quite common for children to be brought up by two lesbian women, or two gay men.

Amanda Millar reports on the kids of homosexual couples.

Do they end up any different to the children of heterosexuals? Are they well-adjusted? Are they more likely to be gay themselves?

A child is made of male and female energy/ love, this balanced positive energy/ love should be continued though out their life in order for the children to be balanced, secure, sound individuals. The Gaybe Bommers show a loving enviroment in which is parmount to bringing up good happy , secure children. It is also good to see them realising the fact that the children need positive input from a mother and a father. Our socity needs strong , postive , loving mothers and fathers to bring up our children , in order to make our communities beter places in the future to live. All power to mothers and fathers who supply these positive values to our children.Regards David Cutfield

Well done feature on modern families. Isn't it odd that the church insists on the Freudian norm of two-opposite sex parents to raise children. There's not much (if any) support in the Bible for such family structures. This seems like another instance of the church being led by prevailing social values rather than providing a witness to the inclusiveness of love.

Well tbh i never knew that Pastor was an Expert in child raising and the bringing up of kids in both situations. So i dont see how he can have an input when hes never experienced it himself.

The Catholic Church has a right to it's opinion, unfortunately, despite spreading bigotry, sexism, discrimination and dangerous misinformation about the efficacy of condoms against AIDS. Telling gay people they have no right to their lifestyle choice is hate speech and should be recognised as such.

Truly intelligent!!! ...check the amount of disfunctional and violent families whose heterosexual parents hate each others!... if the world was populated only by families who consciously wanted and loved their children, versus accidental and unapproved births, there'd be less than half of the population on this planet and a better quality of society! Shame on the Catholic church to dare having a say on this issue, after the scandals of child abuses rooted in forced celibate !!
