Its 1930's Tennessee, Duvall is an old hermit Felix Bush, harbouring many a dark secret and ostracized by the local townsfolk.
When he asks the local funeral home to organize his own funeral - to be thrown while he's still alive - one thing's for certain, secrets will be told.
Duvall is a complete delight in this, his one of several enduring characters here, and once the story took hold, I found myself entirely engrossed and at times profoundly moved.
