Those eager to see the rare giant squid that washed up in Kaikoura will be able to do so at the town's marine centre.
The 150kg beast was already dead when it was found floating off the coast yesterday by a couple out fishing.
It's so large it took around an hour to tow it into port.
The eight-metre long creature was missing a tentacle and part of its head after apparently being attacked by something at sea.
