An Iranian actress has been banned from returning to her homeland after appearing naked in a photoshoot.

Government officials have reportedly told Golshifteh Farahani she's no longer welcome in Iran after posing naked in French news magazine Madame Le Figaro.

Based in Paris, the actress left Iran last year and now she can't go back after the nude protest against restrictive Islamic dress codes for women.

She says, "I was told by a Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guide official that Iran does not need any actors or artists. You may offer your artistic services somewhere else."

i think the fingers are not the same ,so we must not judge somebody else with our personal beliefs, and i think it was not just for reputation maybe she had another reason for herself that we are not aware of,those who think that she is against your beliefs you r mistaking because human being are free and can choose everything that they want and as i know she did not say that i m muslim as u know she was just living in Iran and untill now she had not said that i accepted this religion like alot of person who are living in Iran now.

Bravo Golshifteh. As an Iranian girl I am extremely proud. you are extremely brave and not a coward like the rest of Iranian who only complain between others back or nag about government this or that but never has the guts to do something about it. At least golshifteh is brave enough to take a stand. You go girl.
