This situation is becoming gravely serious. It is now endangering our trade and diplomatic relationships with India. For the good of the country, it is time that Ellis and TVNZ bit the bullet and sacked Paul Henry. This non-entity is not worth the jobs and livelihood of honest hardworking New Zealanders who will suffer due to one person's moronic racism.

We, as indians, are providing good quality humor, to developed nations. Recently we did it with our cwg and now with this 'indian thing' that the broadcaster refers. If we've not been like this, quite a number of journalists would've starved. So, it's quite soliciting to provide humor to a retard, to those whose metal faculties are severly restricted, to acknowledge even the simplest things that nature can offer.

Whether one agrees or not that this issue might be blown out of the proportion. Whether you agree or not that Paul Henry speaks only in a jokingly manner. However you cannot in your right mind expect a country of billion people to agree with your opinions and thoughts & ask them to lighten up? Especially a woman chief minister of India's capital city?

Has the world gone mad? It is ok for people to burn effigies of new zealanders in the street but we can't make fun of their names? I'm not saying Paul was right and I don't condone his comments but where is the apology from the Indian government for the horrific things their people have done to new zealanders in the last couple of weeks?

I think Mr Henry should take all his toys home and make way for some young Journo a chance, we have let him get away with to much. He also thinks that he is gods gift to our TV station ( i did say our station ) it is about time this moron was given the great heave, and lets get back to having a real station not one run by MR HENRY.

Also, where's Jonathon Coleman? He is the Broadcasting Minister after all, and we've heard nary a peep from him.

Well I guess if insults are freely conveyed, then this (hopefully) ex-employee of TVNZ has proven himself to be both a dick and a sh*t.
When journos wanted an interview, he allegedly said "get the f**k off my land." Being an recent import, he might consider that he could be told to do the same by genuine New Zealanders, whether indigenous or by birth.

Right on Petra! Henry's brand of humour is childish at best because like Henry they can be cruel and don't think it thru. You cannot compare him to real comedians at all. I suspect his aundience are the same folk who watch soaps.

Lightseed, Billy T was a GREAT satirist. And he took the mickey out of US. His brilliant wit and keen social observations made us laugh at our own cultural foibles. He was never nasty. John Clark is another brilliant wit and satirist who makes us laugh at ourselves and our own culture, and even to actually THINK while we're laughing! Genius! Paul Henry is most definitely NOT of either man's comedic calibre. He is a man who's "wit" is nothing more than nasty, thoughtless schoolboy taunts. He is vulgar, small minded, and about as funny as a blocked loo.

I seem to remember a group of Indians burning an effigy of a New Zealander recently - I found that insulting, so I expect my apology soon.
Yeah, right.
