Unfortunatly 700 mil will not help us much. 2 weeks borrowing. Pfft not exactly a miricale drug for the economy. There is only one way to fix this country and its not cutting the working for families or reducing service in the public sector. The priority needs to be on raising revenue. This can only be acheived by a) direct taxation or B) job creation or c) lifting productivity and exports. I see no evidence of this other than the targeted training package for christchurch. My assesment of the budget..It goes to far in punitive measures and doesn't give any realistic answers. Its a gamble, pure and simple and is exactly what key as a currency speculator should be expected to do. When you cannot pay your bills you have two choice's.. Make more money or lose lifestyle by cutting spending. With this budget National have chosen the latter.
