It is said a picture is worth a thousand words, so a well-constructed photo opportunity can be worth more to a political party than metres of column inches.

This morning saw one of the most ambitious staged during the campaign so far – where if things went wrong, someone could lose an arm.

Green Party co-leader Russel Norman and MP Gareth Hughes took the plunge at Kelly Tarltons to raise awareness about the unsustainable practice of shark finning.
