There's one important piece of the natural earth jigsaw puzzle missing, and that is the hemp factor.
The hemp factor sends chills through contemporary big business giants.
Our whole way of western life is pretty much based around the prohibition of this natural resource.
In an 1880's Encyclopaedia I recently found a fascinating listing under the topic of hemp. During that time hemp was extremely valuable as a source of very strong natural fibre. American yeilds of 700-1000 lbs of fibre per acre were the norm, and the UK imported 1,350,000 cwt (or hundredweight or 50.802kg).
Back then the processing of the raw material was difficult due to the hardiness of the plant and lack of suitable equipment, but the peak of 50,000,000 kgs of hemp fibre imported by the UK during the 1870's decade shows that this material indeed had its applications and uses.
Today technology is such that hemp can be used to make not only ropes, clothes, and fine damask linens, but particle board, insulation materials, all grades of paper, fuels, plastics, and has broad potential as a source of a range of medicinal treatments.
We have forgotten about the sun, our closest star. It beams light to us everyday; that's energy that the world's people could harvest free everyday.
In the 1930's, over about a decade the Ford Motor Company had been working on a project to make a car "grown from the soil".
The product was a prototype with a steel tube frame and composite, natural fibre, natural resin panels. Each panel was made using fibres like sisal and hemp bonded together with a hemp resin binder made from the hurds of the hemp stalk.
The car ran on biofuel fermented from plants...
Somewhat mysteriously, in a funny peculiar kinda way, following the release of a machine called a decorticator, a device that would have greatly sped the processing of hemp stalks into hurds and fibre, the US Govt impossed a special tax on hemp that made it uneconmical for farmers to grow...
Something smells.

Greenpeace is cool but global warming is a political scam. Its natural. Rich countries are just using it to their advantage. Don't believe everything you hear just 'cause its on tv. Take another look.

Climate Change is all bollocks. All the crap put into the air by humans equates to nothing more than a couple of forest fires and volcanic eruptions from around the globe per year. Have you seen our factories and cars produce the type of sky in NZ that a Queensland bush fire does from across the Tasman? To suggest they can predict the weather in 50 years time is a joke... they can't even get tomorrow's weather forecast right for crying out loud. If I entertain the climate change concept then I too would believe that sheep and cows now fart at 100 times their historically normal rate. In light of this future vision has the cost of real estate dropped in all these cities purportedly going underwater? I'll give you a clue. The answer is No, and as for Fart Tax?... Good God.

I would like to know how greenpeace activists earn a living (or do they rely on others for them to be out of work?), and what their carbon footprint is. What was the carbon footprint of the free concert? No doubt they will try to justify these things - but how justifyable is applying one rule for them and another for everyone else?

I was accosted by a Greenpeace member the other day. I asked him to explain the Permian-Triassic extinction event. (This is not the Cretaceous-Tertiary extinction event that saw the end of the dinosaurs; that was over 200 million years afterwards.) His answer was: "the Ice Age." These are the kind of people who get involved in these marches. They know nothing of the facts or even science. They get involved because they saw a picture of a polar bear clinging to a bit of floating ice and it pulled their heart strings. Polar bears have been recorded for swimming up to 200 miles.

Maybe the warmists should understand 1/ "there IS a Rational man" He knows who are the con-artists. 2/ "emotions and visuals" Doom and gloom are just Hollywood stunts. 3/ "Lucy Lawless is an bad actor!. Maybe some reading of the leaked emails, "tree ring theory is bankrupt" "hope your wrong about global cooling until 2020" What about Obama, He has no mandate from the highest authority in the US to negotiate any legally binding agreement, So will he use the "presidents signing powers" That would make him a dictator, Wow bet that won't go down to well back home!.

Ok, Tim, here are the real facts: A) Rising carbon levels are not causing temperatures to rise, rising temperatures are causing carbon levels to rise. B) Scientists have said in emails that they have ignored some data just because it didn't agree with the global warming theory. C) In the past decade, the earth has cooled down, while carbon dioxide emissions from humans have risen. D) The US isn't taking this seriously. If they were listening to the so-called science, they would have a target of 40% of 1990 emissions, not 0%. So, even if global warming was true, we’re all screwed anyway because only the US and China can fix this so-called mess. E) Just after WW2, when industry growth was at its peak, and with it carbon emissions, the world actually started to cool down. F) There was a period of time where it was actually warmer than it is today. The Medieval Warm Period. And in that time, carbon dioxide emissions from humans were virtually zero. G)Back in the time of the dinosaurs, scientists have calculated, using ice core data (the same data used to "prove" global warming) that carbon dioxide levels were over 10 times what they were today, yet the temperatures were lower than today. Are you starting to get the picture?

Tim, one could also say you are being sucked in by supposed facts they want you to get sucked in by. It's easy to make up facts, especially the US, they are among the worlds best liars and arrange the best cover ups. "they would see why even the US is treating this seriously". Of course the US are treating this seriously, the are most likely the ones who will gain the most out of the money to be made by this scandal.

Interesting that the only people that seem to write comments in regard to climate change articles are denialists or luddites. Perhaps these people should look at the real facts and not just the propaganda put out by big business, they would see why even the US is treating this seriously.

You can guarantee a lot of these people in this march don't have a FULL understanding of what they are actually marching about.
